In November 2025, Ford’s government switched off every speed safety camera in the province. All the while providing vague promises that they’ll “fix” speeding. Municipalities which continued to record driver speeds have noticed a significant spike in both the average speeds and the maximum speeds. Some folks have done their own informal speed monitoring and have recorded some drivers going two times over the speed limit!

All of those are now back to having next to zero enforcement.
The thought that REMOVING SPEED CAMERAS WILL HELP, is about as JUSTIFIED as the gun registry is to COMBATING CRIME. Great work Premier FORD
