About

Vision Zero Ontario is a province-wide initiative that brings together road safety advocates, local organizations, and municipal groups with a shared goal: eliminating traffic-related deaths and serious injuries in Ontario. The intention is not to replace or overshadow local work, but to strengthen it by addressing gaps that require provincial coordination.

Why now?

Across Ontario, municipalities have been implementing a wide range of road safety measures. But current provincial government actions—most notably the ban on Automatic Speed Cameras—are directly weakening safety tools that communities rely on.

Our role

Local advocates are doing excellent work, but tracking legislation, navigating the province, and responding quickly to policy changes is time-consuming and hard to do individually. Vision Zero Ontario aims to fill this gap by serving as a shared provincial ally, strategy hub, and knowledge centre.
